This is interesting, I just received an invoice through from Schleich and it has the Country of Origin against the Smurfs, some are Tunisia and some are People's Republic of China.

The Tunisian ones are as follows: -

I have ordered many other normals, supers, playsets and buildings and these all came from China according to the invoice.

So it is true that some of the smurfs are originating from Tunisia now.

It would be so useful to have this sort of info for all the smurf released, shame so much info will never be known because of the poor records kept.

I agree that it's a shame that detailed records were not kept of the older smurfs. There seems to be so much mystery surrounding certains things such as the Schleich Numbers for the Surprise Cones which can be different between the 3 of them depending on where you look. There are many things I would like an aswer to but I guess we may never know.
