hi

Mine has Made In Germany and mould number 1 too!

but how do we explain the yellow underwear??

if they were all made with yellow underwear then why are tons of these

with white underwear and only the ones that have blue ropes have white undies!

what were they originally if they had original white ropes??

it still seems fishy to me.. as if the entire production of the unpainted white underwear ones were produced as fakes??? or ended up wiithout
painted undies??

as alot of good fakes also have licenced trademarks on them like the famous #1 Grad, etc

I'm leaning towards this being a fraud thing.

so far I am not convinced they are real.. :)

It's just the Hong Kong & W Germany variations Attom...like a lot of the variations they have small differences and depending on where these were made depends on what colour they used for the underwear...at least all 5 of mine or so fit that rule.

Here is some information about the Blue Skipping Ropes provided by Frank Oswald who is the author of Der Schlumpf Katalogs. It was interesting to hear about the red skipping ropes which I didn't know existed.
here is "my story" about the blue skippingropes:

I am quite sure that a factory in spain had the license to produce smurfs for the spanish market for a few years. Some years ago all stock rests of its factory were sold - the biggest part to a dutch dealer. In this stock there were smurfettes with red thread skipping ropes ( about 200) and the smurfettes with the blue skippingropes (about 800). I don't know why they made these "special variations", maybe to test it for the spanish market - as far as I know these smurfs were never sold officially ... Now, if you call them fakes, or if you say these are rare testversions, produced under the lincense of Schleich ...???? But still they are rare. I know that the dutch dealer has stopped to sell smurfs and sold his stock. That is why there are "so many" blue skippingropes beeing offered - and the "smurf market" is quite small, after all.... but I am sure it won't last long and it'll will be very hard to find these váriations ...

this is what I know about the smurfette - I hope I could help a little ....

I just wanted to thank Frank for graciously allowing me to publicly post that as it is always interesting to hear from him and in what he has to say about smurfs as he has been associated with smurfs for a lot longer than most of us and I am really pleased that he allows me to pass on this info. It was good to hear that he thinks these will become rarer again in the future since a lot of us have bought them for very good prices.

Just have to find a red variation now :eye:
