Either the card company was a part they sold, or it was just a different company.
See here: ASS was bought by the Belgian card manufacturer Carta Mundi (the world's greatest, if I'm correct).

I just sent them an email to ask for more info regarding their company and the relationship to the promo smurf....hopefully someone will know something about it like when etc.

I will let you know on the off chance that they reply to me.....I really shouldn't of put that bit about the English translation of ASS in but I just couldn't help myself....lol.............only joking of course.

I used altavista to run a translation and looked at their products: It does look like school furnitures Rachel.

I have no idea about the mag Attom (hopefully Fram can help) but I love the pic on the front of it. I don't know if it is just the fact that the smurf on the right looks a bit squint or the very cute snail but it does make a lovely picture.

Same company, yes. They also had a lot of jigsaws of the Smurfs, and probably some other toys.

As this was about the playing card smurfs, I just thought I'd put pics up of what my recent purchases...

And these 2 are the ones I got as a set. You'll notice that in the box with the blue pack, the smurf does not hold the card with the logo!

But that of course, may not have been how it was first sold of course as I bought that one from someone else.

I have the Papa Smurf set but never noticed the ASS logo on the cards before....I just dug out my set to have a look so that was pretty interesting that you pointed that out David. I don't have the case for that set though.

I have been after that Skat one with the smurf for a while but have always been outbidded on the auctions....maybe next time.

I've received four ASS mini puzzles (63 pieces each) this weekend. Three of them are from a set of four with Smurf drawings, the fourth one is from another set of four with pictures of Smurf PVC's in decors. They aren't complete though.
They have also larger puzzles, I have a few of those somewhere.

I had the large card game yet and the small one with the angry, but I didn't know of the other one. And I still miss the boxed ones with a Smurf.
