Hey everyone - I wonder if you all can help me out? I have a huge favor to ask. My mom collects Hard Rock Cafe pins - it's kind of a funny way she collects - she never goes anywhere out of the U.S. but whenever friends or family go anywhere, they are to hunt and bring back pins! So she has about 13 countries and 20 some U.S. cities that she's never even been to! Her birthday is coming up next month and I thought it would be great to add to her collection.

Here's where you all come in If you are willing and if you live near a Hard Rock (unless it's one that she's already got) and the HRC has the specialty guitar and regular guitar pins (those are the ones she collects - the regular guitar for the city and the specialty guitar <---the specialties are pretty cool because they are unique to the city) and you buy at least one of each of these (two of each pin would be better), I will pay for shipping/handling and pins plus paypal fees via paypal to you. Please PM me or answer here if you're willing to help me out with this birthday gift.

Of course, if you live nowhere near a HRC, or you do and you don't want to be hassled (which I can't blame you there ), I totally understand. I will post a picture of her display tomorrow -- I made her a display case so she has a place to put the pins instead of in a bag stuck in her closet!

I also have a stack of Hard Rock Cafe glasses from around the world that I will be putting on Ebay unless anyone is interested. The glasses come from: Sydney, London, New Orleans, New York, Honululu & Los Angeles. They are the big long glasses as opposed to regular sized glasses.

Just let me know Stace if she needs the pins from Syd and I will get her some in time for her birthday.

Manchester, London, Birmingham, Bristol (Bar), Cardiff, Nottingham,
Leeds, Edinburgh

There is also one in Dublin and one in Paris. Let me know if she wants these as well as I could pick one up next time I am over there...

No, they are very commercial and cliché. Sorry to the fans of it, but I prefer my cafés, bars and restaurants to be a bit more authentic and original. So Karen, you haven't missed anything!

I agree with Fram -- they are all the same pretty much - so if you've seen one, you've seen them all...of course, some people like familiarity with places when they are away from home too - so it's like not being away

Here is a picture of her collection....all her doubles are still in a bag in her closet - she likes to keep one and display one of each pin, if possible because we have no clue if these are worth anything or appreciate in value

I just happen to be working on a new hotel casino in Niagara Falls, New York, and there is a Hard Rock two blocks away. I'll stop by after work one day and pick her up both kinds. I will also talk to my daughter and see if she and the Grandkids would like to cross the bridge to Niagara Falls, Canada and stop at their Hard Rock for a souvenir.

Have you checked hardrockpin.com ? How much time do we have?

He was on the front page of the paper this morning. Very exciting stuff really. One of the judges asked him what he would do if he won the contest. He said that he would like to bring INXS to Nova Scotia. What a concert that would be!

Jim - that would be fantastic to get the Niagara Falls NY and Canada (if your daughter heads over that way)...my mom's birthday is in October but that might not be enough time, so I may just try to do this for Christmas so as not to rush anyone. I have checked HRC website and they do not have much for sale...I think you need to join their club to get any real deals Thank you sooooo very much for your help!
