Wonderful price!!!!The Smurfs are only in it for the fun, it's the train display (hi Eggie!) I bought recently very cheap on eBay (5 Euro postage included)
Hi Tim, as far as I know Schleich made the display originally to show off the different figures. It is actually made up of 3 or 4 sections and these sections then went to different places, one of which I believe is in Germany - Nijmegen Schlumpfmesse - The pic below is Daniel, a member here visiting in 2001. I am not sure if it is still there. That's a fantastic poster. Does Schleich keep that setup as a display at its headquarters? I've been building a plaster smurf mountain for my new smurf resort, but trust me, it won't look anything like the one in the poster!
It's from some light, hollow, hard plastic. I have seen it on a few websites. I think the papa with gift exists like this as well. Only markings are C Peyo on the left foot. It looks to be made especially as an Xmas decoration. What is that larger smurf in the train display Fram? I don't think I have seen that before.
Hi BradDo you have this poster as well?
That other large display looks amazing too.
What do you think these are made of? all plastic?
Or use of wood and other materials? they look great!
...or the Australian marketI really love that castle as well. I've seen photos of that around (on your want page as well Dyar). That is a great building. Too bad it wasn't produced for the american market.
The green on the backpack looks to be a unique shade of green Martin but I can't see anything else different about it off hand. If you see something odd about it then please let me know.what do you think of the hiker smurf next to the handstand smurf-do you think he's a little different
