We all bought smurfs as kids i think, but has anybody continually bought smurfs since their childhood ? I know some of us have started re-collecting and have smurfs from the past, but has anyone been lucky enough to be a continuous collector ?

:-D

Well I actually never collected them as a kid. My brother's best friend had them and I was always so jealous of them. Mum found one at her house in her toybox (the boxer) which I think we probably nicked from my brother's friend rather than actually buying LOL! So to make a long answer short, I started collecting them when I was 31.

:) :) :) :)

Actually, I'm sorry to disappoint, but I did stop collecting from about 1989 to around 1999 ~ 2000.... so there was a 10 year gap! :):)

I even stop buying the comics ... I must have fallen through a hole in the earth during that time! What was I doing?????

:):):)

I stopped early eighties when they disappeared from the petrol stations and shops..then started collecting again about 3 yrs ago :D
Long, long ago, deep in the forest, there was a hidden village where tiny creatures lived. They called themselves the Smurfs. They were good.

I stopped in around 1983/84 (aged 9/10)...had them all stolen during the late 1990s and then started again in late October 2003 (aged 29).

Hi Graham, I stopped in the early 80s like many other UK smurfers and then rediscovered them again in 2000. :D

Steve, you have been around for as long as us I am sure, that is more like 5 years. :o :)

Why is it called "common sense" when it is so rare.......

Hello

I started collecting smurfs at the age of six and I was a fan of the TV-show even before. :)
Now I am 21 and I haven`t stopped collecting smurfs for nearly 16 years now.

Oh good, we have Daniel who's been a continuous collector. I think Brad from AU may be too but we'll have to wait and see what he posts ;)

I stopped collecting mid-80s sometime too - I had about 20 smurfs back then and started recollecting again on November 1, 2003 :D

Whats funny is at the time I had no idea what a great deal it was !!
I just looked down at the box and thought to my self wow smurfs as a kid I loved them and had to get them to show my husband . I think now my husband is sick of looking at my smurfs as they have taken over the house lol !!

Postby Little lucie @ Simon » Wed Jan 04, 2006 4:28 pm
