I got those smurf a grams in the mail the other day from that auction I won (yayyy I got the yellow scarf sledder and yellow shirt leaf board :-D , but I will try to compose my excitment on that :champ: :) :) )
I tried to match up the smurfs with the smurf a gram bases and I can say for certain that only one is an actuall smurf a gram and that is the first class one. The others all have foot prints (markings of plastic where a figure once stood) and by matching them up with smurfs they do not match. Nor do any smurfs have orange feet (or do they.. can't remember now) The other two that I have pictured with smurfs are listed in the smurf book with those smurfs on it, but the foot prints don't match so they where never actually smurfs on there before.
I have four others that I don't have any smurfs for and thought I would ask you guys which smurfs did you think would look nice on the four smurfless smurf a grams. Also any info on what use to be on these is greatly apreciated..

Well the "Come up and see me some time" one should definitely be Syd :) :) If Syd is missing in action, then Cupid smurf or smurfette should do :D

Hi Gerda, great to hear of your arrival, I bet you were over the moon with the yellow sled and skateboard. :cheerz:

You could have some real fun adding smurfs to the empty bases, especially by choosing smurfs that really shouldn't match eg.

Fireman for You Light Up My Life or Grandma for Come Up And See Me Sometime LOVER.

Why is it called "common sense" when it is so rare.......

I wish I could help Gerda but I tried earlier and couldn't find anything that matched these sockels. I agree with Rach though that it might be fun adding other smurfs to these to come up with some funhome made ones.

I like the grandma idea for the lover one :) :)
And yes I was over the moon with those additions. I stared at them for awhile, then placed them next to the other ones.. that's when it becomes real fun when you can see the variations next to each other and what a diffrence they are. Otherwise it's like.. oh it's yellow, but when you actually see them (like the skateboard) next to the red shirt and the applause it is really neat to see the diffrence in One smurf..

Hi Gerda,

The one with "Hey Folks" could be from the muppet show originally: There was a number of them with the 2 grumpy old man... this could be a good match for the black shoes as well..

There was a number of figurines with orange feet, but apart from the muppet bear (below) I am not sure if the others were actually released onEnglish sockels:

Below are:

The orange bear from the Muppet show

The dog is from "Boule et Bill" (Fram probably knows the comic), but you would expect this one on French sockels...

And obvisouly the kwaks... although you would expect these on German sockels...

There are others like Yakari, Scrameustache... but they are a lot less well known (I think).

If I was gambling on these I would go for:

The dog from boule et bill for "You light my life, happy anniversary"

the sitting duck (A.J.Kwak) for "Have a nice birthday sweetheart"

One of the grumpy man (Muppets) for "Hey folks, happy aniiversary"

The lover one beats me...

The white one "You light up my life" where you have put the candle smurf: I checked again and although the writting is exactly the same, I can only find it on a yellow sockel or on a red sockel...

Cheers,

David

After seeing the pics I would say that the dog is the light up my life,
His feet seem to be like the prints on the gram. The grumpy man you show does not fit the foot print of the hey folks, those prints are shaped like the pointing clown smurf, just black.

I like all the other sockels.. It's nice to see how many diffrent sockels where made and not just with smurfs..

Great detective work David. I guess I know who we will all be asking when it comes to sockels from now on. I love that we have these types of people here who are a lot more knowledgable on certain items than others as it's so easy to ask a tough question and get such friendly and expert reply.

Well done :D
