Hi guys, :wave2:

I thought that now we are starting to have the 2006 smurfs in hand it might be fun to see which smurfs are preferred. :D

I had a tough time deciding as I think they are all very nice and a few of them really appealed to me. As a set I think they are my favourite since the New Generation 2003 smurfs. I think at the moment though (I could well change my mind in the future) the Grim Reaper is my fav. I love his cloak and the colours are lush. :smitten:

He's my favourite too, he reminds me of the monk which is another of my favourites. They are top quality, aren't they? :-D

Such a hard decision especially since I haven't seen them in the flesh yet.....then again i will probably never see the Ghost one in the flesh anyway.

I have gone for the Grim Reaper because the design just looks very cool...but so does the Mummy, Werewolf, Witch, Ghost...the only one that I think was a little "what the?" is the Pumpkinhead. I would of liked to of seen a sexy Vamp Smurfette or a Medusa, goblin, zombie or something instead. However I totally agree with Rach that these are the best ones since 2003 as I was a little disappointed with the smurfs from the last 2 years. Well done IMPS & Schleich.

I know Dyar, I am sorry. I realised that not everyone will have them straight away but I just couldn't wait to find out what everyone thought. I have left the poll open though with no closing date. :D

Having just had another really good look at them I am still very impressed with both the ideas and the quality. I think they are all stunning and the detail on them is superb. :cheer:

Last year when I moaned and groaned about quality I kept finding smurfs with rubs and poorly painted. This year the only repeat offender seems to be the werewolf because of his furry bits, I think they spike each other in the bag. Some of the grim reapers have some marks on their cloaks from that thingy they are holding, forget what it's called. I've tried not to give people any dodgy ones and any bad ones I'll sell off a bit cheaper later. I know I am daft being so picky but I can't help it.

My favourite is the Ghost..I just love the sheet over the smurf effect :) I love them all..my least fave being the frankensmurf..think he looks a bit ugly :(

I think the grimreaper is carrying a Scythe Karen :D
Long, long ago, deep in the forest, there was a hidden village where tiny creatures lived. They called themselves the Smurfs. They were good.

I had to vote for the Ghost as hes my fav, :D I just love the fact he is almost a raw smurf without much paint he feels so diferent to the others he really stands out from all the other smurfies being all white you cant miss him. :) I bet he was the cheapest and easyest to produce as well. :D It was a hard choice as i love them all. Kim loves the mummy with his red eye. :D
Smurfy regards, steve.

I also love the ghost smurf. And it must be the Schleich painters favourite as well – never has painting smurfs been so easy. I guess this is a smurf we will never see sold as a "rare color variation from my childhood".

In Frankfurt I've only found one shop that has received the new smurfs so far :( & they hadn't been sent the reaper or Frankenstein's monster.

I bought the 6 they had though. As a result I haven't seen the other 2 in the 'flesh' which makes a comparison difficult. However I really like the witch so will vote for her. It looks likes she's cooking school dinners :)

As far as the paint quality goes I'd give them an A-. The painting is good but I had a problem finding ones that were without any blemish at all.
