Hi I live in the US and wanted to purchase some of the Smurf DVD for my children who I am sure would love these cartoons just like I did when I was young. Where can I buy them?

Thanks
Steven

:welcome: Steven!

As far as I know, there are no legal DVD's of the Smurfs available in the USA. The only English language Smurf DVD's have been issued in Australia (which is another region and normally won't play on your player). All DVD's you come across on eBay USA are illegal copies and often bad quality (copied from old videos).
Other countries that have legal Smurf DVD's are France and Germany.

Thank you for responding. Is there a reason why they are not released here in the US?

Perhaps they are waiting for the Smurf movie (due in 2008), when the popularity of the Smurfs in the US will hopefully boom again. For the moment, the market for Smurfs is perhaps not big enough...

Hi Steven, welcome aboard. :welcome:

I know, it is a shame that the DVDs haven't been released elsewhere yet. It was only quite recently that they were released in Australia so hopefully there are plans for them to be released worldwide. :D

We have a multi-region DVD player so have been buying them from Australia anyway. :-D

Why is it called "common sense" when it is so rare.......
