Hi there,

Received this little fellow today from an Ebay bid. I thought he was a fake, but looking at the markings - I'm not sure :? :-?

.......but he's so cute - I love him anyway :D

Does anyone know where he's from? He's about 6cm in height, his head swivels round  and it looks like something has snapped off from the base (and my other half grumbled at being told to hold a smurf steady for the camera!)

Cheers!

Cathy x :cat:

It is not really a promos: it is a figurine which is part of the Entex set of building blocks (a bit like Lego).

They are 3 different box set to my knowledge:
- a train set (with that Coco figure)
- a bedroom (with a figure holding a toothbrush)
- a castle (blue) (with Gargamel and Azrael)

I could be wrong about the castle being part of the same series, this is only from memory. I'll try to dig out some pics I have somewhere.

Cheers,

David

What a nice smurf Cathy. It looks like he's forgotten to fill his mug though. Or maybe he's already drunk it :)

It would be great if david could find a photo of it in it's complete form.

Thanks everyone for the info :-D , look forward to seeing your pics David.

It was one of those moments on Ebay where you just keep on bidding until you get it - and then worry about it after   .....and I'm supposed to saving for Passion :(

Hi Cathy

That looks like a nice smurf to display in yoru collection even if he is only part of the set. I have seen this one around before and most likely even unsuccessfully bidded on him as well. I have seen it listed as a promo on ebay though so it's good to know that's not correct.

I haven't found the pics I wanted but if you go to:

http://bluebuddies.com/

and search for Entex, you will find 2 out of the 3 boxes (with pics of the buildings).

(By the way it is not a blue castle at all for Gargie and his cat, as said in my previous post, but a white building which looks like his farm).

The train set with normally comes with the Coco smurf is missing from that web page though.

I have recently won the train set on eBay and awaiting delivery. I'll let you know when I get it.

I like these because the figures are well made, they have the right proportions.

The head is actually hollow and can be removed from the figure: I have tried it on the Coco figure... for my sins... it is funny the way it comes of... well if you like that sort of things, that is... taking heads of smurfs... I mean, it's not what I mean but... somehow... it is sort of strange when you remove the head...

Am I digging myself into an inextricable hole here? Ok better go back to sleep then... like sleepy hollow...

:) :) :)

Ok ok not that funny... but I couldn't resist... If you have that figure you'll know what I mean... or not actually... probably not... anyway don't go anywhere near big trees with lots of chains attached to it while you are removing the head: It is not recomended. If a stranger (who has no head) on a dark horse asks what you are doing to that Smurf: just pretend that you found it lying around like that... if he says "liar", start running... fast... dead fast... or you're next! simple... dead simple.

Do you think I should stop the fizzy drinks in the morning? All these additives... they do funny things to me... yeah, it's the additives... That's what I'll blame it onto anyway... additives, yuk!

Are you sure it's the fizzy drinks that are affecting you early in the morning David......or is it the other stuff you are mixing with them? :) :) :)

Somebody better stop him pulling the heads of the smurfs at Passion....some sellers hate people who do that to their stock. :o
