Well, having got over my disappointment last week with the fakes I have been purchasing like crazy and thought that it might be interesting for me to share some of my new smurfs with you all.

I was somewhat spurred on by reading Dyer's post about his new website and the fact that all of those smurfs were accumulated in 2yrs 4 months!!!!

I am not sure how long my credit card will take this sort of hammering, but these are the smurfs that I have bought over the last 10 days or so.....

I am sure that there is nothing here that ll of you don't have, but this is all really exciting for me :joy:

:) Thanks Linda. The halloween smurfs are fantastic aren't they. My better half has fallen in love with pumpkin head!

(Overall I think she thinks I am a bit crazy :grinning: )

As you can probably tell I started off (mainly) with the more recent releases before I set about backfilling the gaps in my earlier collection :-D

Excellent smurfs Mark

That yellow Brainy took me an eternity to get. I managed to bid so many times without winning one that I thought I was never going to get one......it was the happiest day when I finally won one on ebay and even happier when he arrived. That yellow Brainy was playing so hard to get that I thought he didn't like me or something.

As for the others....I agree the 2006 smurfs are great and getting so many at the one time really makes it very exciting and....I think you're hooked :)

Thanks for sharing the pics :D

Dyar

Same here!! Well maybe not an eternity but 26 months, 4 days, 9 hours, 34 minutes and 7 seconds to be exact. Or something like that.

Great buys, Mark! There are some that you have there that I still need :mine: :)

Thanks for all of your thoughts. I hadn't realised that I had hit on a difficult one to find with that brainy. :dancing:

I'll put some more pictures up next week (hopefully!!)

I have been "reading" the Der Schlumpf Katalog this weekend. After all of your comments on the yellow brainy I checked out the price - I didn't have the Katalog at the time I made the purchase.

I was surprised to see the 50 Euro price. Mine was in a lot of three smurfs (red glasses brainy & normal smurf as well as that one) that cost me £4.31.

On the one hand I am thining what a fantastically lucky buy, and on the other I am thinking why did I get it so cheaply, am I missing something.... :-? I have studied him and can't obviously see a repaint.

Anyone have any thoughts on this? Is there a good way to check?

I am hoping this stays a :D

This Katalog has been and will be extreeeeeeeeeeeeeeemly helpful going forward!

Mark

Hi Mark ! you have probably been in the right place at the right time ! :D

I would'nt worry too much, sometimes i have bought smurfs for a good price, especially in lots ! then, on the other hand, you pay over the odds !

Win some, lose some ! :D

Hi Mark, don't worry the chances are your yellow brainy is real. He is so expensive in the book because that is German and the smurf was only released in the UK. He was relatively unknown until quite recently and although occassionaly you will see him being sold for a lot of money, he can usually be picked up for a lot less than 50 Euro. :D

You still had a very good buy there though. :-D
