I bought a bunch of smurfs this week that when they arrived stink of smoke.

I have read here on the forum about the cleaning fluids available, but my question is would these get the smell out? :-?

Some have yellowed but others look sort of OK but still smell bad. Does anyone have any suggestions about the best solution to this (.... no gag intended....)

Thanks

put some dish soap on a toothbrush and pour some baking soda on there and scrub them.......i have never had a problem w/ it damaging my smurfs.....and the baking soda helps to take some of them oder away as well as help to scrub off anything that shouldn't be there...... :)

Thank you both. I'll try these and let you know the results

(after I go and buy some baking soda...... - that's not in the beer aisle is it?)

I just followed the link for that D-stinker product on the earlier postings. Typical - the company is in Maine. I have only jsut come back from living in Boston MA for a couple of years and went up to Maine a lot.

That reminds me of another posting I found on smoking when I was hunting around for smoke advice. It was on different States that forbid smoking. Masachussetts is another state that doesn't allow smoking in public places. I have to say that I really liked it, particularly when you woke up in the morning after being in bars the night before and whole room didn't stink of smoke!!!! I know I'm probably alienating the half of thee forum that smokes, but I will be happy when it comes in in the UK

I spent a week in Ireland last year & it was great as you say not to have stinky clothes & to have a clear head in the morning. In Germany it doesn't look like we'll have a non smoking policy for a long time as the smokers lobby is much too strong

Yes, I work for a German company now and when I go over to visit their offices (Dusseldorf) I can't believe the number of people that smoke - in their offices too.

I feel the same. I've got medical reasons for hating it so much, I'm paralysed in one side of my face and one eye doesn't blink properly, and smoking really aggravates my problem. I can tell something has come from a smoker's house by my eye pricking before I even smell it.

I still think we have a bigger problem with our drink culture here in the UK though, smoking doesn't turn people into violent monsters which drink sometimes does.

Hi Karen, I can't even imagine what that must be like. You have good reason to to want to ban them.

As for the drinking, I am inclined to agree. I am all for going out, socialising, having a few drinks and having a good time but there is no need for abusive or violent behaviour. It will be interesting to see the impact of the extended licensing laws. I can see it getting worse in the short term, but longer term I hope that it will avoid the 11:00 brawls on the street.

P.S. I was on your site earlier to order some cleaning fluids and.... errrrmmm......, well, you'll see the size of the order that I placed. :-? I just can't help myself. It's as if they were all calling out :-? At least I am keeping Mr Visa (and youself!) in business.

LOL yes I nearly laid an Easter Egg when I saw it, but thank you because it is very much appreciated.

Be very careful with the RemoveZit, it is lethal stuff.
