I was talking to Brad tonight about the Schleich numbers and why some numbers weren't used etc etc. I remember Karen posted some official Schleich lists with their numbers for each smurf which had some interesting things I didn't know before I saw it. I thought I would post some of those discoveries again as some may not of seen it last year.

20125 Heart

Schleich refers to this number as the German variation of the Heart smurf and has seperate numbers for the English & French variations.

20125 - German
20480 - English
20481 - French

This explains those 2 numbers that have been skipped.

Also we all know that the Schleich numbers go up to 20232 (Gargamel with Lab Glass) before we hit 20401 Snappy and the new generation smurfs. However on the Schleich list they have a smurf assigned to number 20233 which is Policeman 2.
I am thinking this might be the white Policeman or at least one of the white variations although I can't be 100% sure of course.

The super smurfs also skip a number (40244) and next to that number on this Schleich list it says "not allocated".....this may mean that they had a smurf that was never released (wonder what it could of been)....either that or numbers just confuse them and they accidentally missed that one. :)

That's really good information - thanks :D . I have a checklist that I hadn't noticed was actually incorrect until I read your post and then x-ref to the DSK

Karen has 20232 at Kitty's Cavern if you want him :-D

I wonder why they put the English & French 'Hearts' between the 'New Trumpeter' (20479) & the 'Tenor horn' (20482)? It would have made much more sense to have put them between the 'Sports correspondent' (20478) & 'New Trumpeter' (20479) & to have given them the numbers 20479 & 20480. The 'New Trumpeter' would then have been 20481.

I thought this was a very interesting thread...and I am now wondering...should the English and French version be listed separatly and not as variations of the German one? :-?

Thanks bunch for the info Dyar, I hate blanks on my database. :D

@Tojo
They didn't put them bettewn them on purpose, if you think about it, the heart smurf is from 81, They probably just assigned those numbers far away, to not mess with they're order.
When they got to 2002 and were following the numbers, they must have then realized that those 2 numbers were already assigned, and thus jumpped.
Also probably why all of a sudden we have Johan and Peewee, and all those easter smurfs mixed with the new smurfs.

(Note, this is just my theory, and not based on any facts ;) )

Interesting discussion on the Schleich numbers. As for the whys and hows of the Schleich numbering sytem, who can say????? :-?

As for the Hearts Mo, I have mentioned the different numbers just ion case but really still class them all as one. :D

Why is it called "common sense" when it is so rare.......
