Hello!

I have a question about the "Collection check". In DSK you can check with what smurfs you got. But how dou you all check off with the smurfs who aren't in the catalouge? Like the 2006 halloween smurfs etc.

You all have to excuse me, i had 2 glass of red wine with my girlfriend this evening, and i think for some reason the wine tok some of my English knowledge with it. D*mn alcohol

Well hope you understand a little, otherwhise i will make it onother shot tomorrow.

:)

Ps. Or maybe this is how my English is. lol

Hi evensar

I made up my own checklist so I just added the new 2006 smurfs to my list when they came out. This may be easier to do than to mark the Katalog plus you can add your own entries that aren't in the DSK.

Hi Evensar,

I just added a list the newer smurfs that weren't included in the katalog on one of the back pages and then ticked them off from there. :D

This is a problem as the books are only released every few years and of course there are new releases every year so there will always be a few missing.

My basic checklist is just like MVs except I have columns for these categories:

Regulars (blue)
Promos (red)
Raws (green)
Fakes (black)
Fake Raws (green)
Sockels (red)
Other (light blue)

I put ticks in the large boxes with different coloured textas (see brackets above) but I am also thinking of changing it again and adding a column for the smurfs on the bases with cards and a more detailed mentioning of the types of promos for each smurf so I know exactly what I don't have yet.

Of course this is only my basic checklist as I also have my own catalogue mentioning every variation that I am aware of for each smurf with promos, promo clips, raws, fakes, raw fakes, sockels, smurfs with cards, large smurfs, music boxes, minis etc etc all with a tick box next to each individual listing so I can tick a smurf everytime I receive a new marking or item. I also have other sections for the Miscellaneous items like Plush, Ceramic, Books, Audio Visiual etc etc.

I use both of these reference guides for different reasons but I find them both very valuable in helping me to catalogue and reference my collection.

That sounds great Syd, but it sounds a bit to advance for me right now i think, but the lager my collection gets i need a good way to check all items. So every tip is a good one :) Right now i use excel, and it looks like this:

Art Nr. Name Quantity Appearance N/S/P

20213 Devil 1 Orange N

etc.

For a start i think this will do.

Edit: It looks kind of wierd, it should be tab space between Art Nr, Name etc.

Thanks Lordsmurf.

I do intend to make up a database for our collection soon, I will be having a go at that once I have finished updating Blue Imps as it will save me going through the collection twice. :D

I would like to add a few formats of of different checklists to my website (ones for different collector's needs from basic to added extras)...if I get some time to play around with them then I will put some on the site. I did a basic checklist for the smurf cartoons last week just so I could see which ones I have and which ones I didn't from each series.
