I have had quite a few which stinks cigarette's smoke...

The first thing I did was to quickly get rid off all the packagung they came in, then I left them in the open air for a few days... It sort of works but you can still smell the smoke if they are put bag in a plastic bag.

If anyone knows of a solution, I'm also very interested! :D

i think i may have mentioned this before.....but gently scrub them w/ a toothbrush, baking soda and water......it helps.....i let the baking soda sit on them after i scrubbed them a bit......i think it helped absorb the scent some....

Hi Margaret / David,

I asked a similar question at this thread... http://www.forum.bluecavern.com/viewtop ... ight=smoke

I have tried quite hard. Formula 911 has given be the best results so far, after leaving the smurfs to air for a week / two. The strong lemony type smell has managed to get rid of most of the smell, particularly if used more than once.

Wow! Imagine trying all that on the same Smurf! :):)

Thanks for this info guys and girls! :D

Important Message to Karen: DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME! This is for PVC smurf only and although the title of this thread may make you think about someone else: Do not try this on HIM!

... just thought I'd clear that out....

I had some really dirty smurfs that where marker colored. I first used remove zit then scrubbed them with a toothbrush, then soaked them in bleach over night. To my amazement the white came really clean (at least the parts that I really put remove zit on) and it did not take off the paint. The orange scented bleach made them smell nice too, Of course I should mention I tried this out on low grade smurfs that came on there last breath of life!! But I was thinking too on some of my regular smurfs that have there whites not as white no more to maybe give them a good soaking.

Yeh I used Remove Zit on Stinky, he used to have freckles and now you can just see straight through him. I used a little on different areas of his head and now he doubles as a sieve, and when I stick him in the dishwasher he doesn't go rusty so that's really good. :) :) :)

Ok I will get back in my box now, I promise. I'm really busy at the moment with some work stuff so I shouldn't even be on here! :(
