I went to pick up my smurfy auction today... I'm sooooooo happy!! It turned out so much better than I could have hoped for!! here are some pictures... i have not sorted through the singles yet to see what variations are in there, but I will as soon as the kids let me go hide in my cabinet corner!!
Anyway what I am most happy about is the rocking horse variation with the rubber band. It is even the original box where they show the smurf with rubber band reigns. One of the bands broke out of his hand, but I can live with that. The horse does not have the holes either where the reigns usually sit, just a groove.. he is made in hong kong.
Also I found some very nice surprises hidden in the smurfs that I was not expecting as you can see from the pictures..
Also I got a almost complete moon set (YIPPIEEEEEEEEE) and a complete smurfette bedroom, (i had to put her together and parts are still in there original bag) another yippieeeeee...
i'm going to try and make room on the table where they are all sitting and take more pictures..
but I'm a very happy smurfer today!!!

I just got another lot off of eBay that will make a great selling lot or trading lot. There is some sort of car in there that looks like the moon car. Is it the same one?

It's either the moon car or the go kart. they almost look the same except the moon car has a box on the back and the go kart has a motor.

Hi Gerda, wow Friday came around quick didn't it, probably just as well because you must have so excited the last few days.

That is an incredible haul there with some stunning smurfs in it. I am so happy to hear that the moon set has so many pieces and the baseball smurfette, praying smurfs etc. are fab by themselves without even thinking about the rest. I know you must have also been so happy to get the Applause bedroom set, it is such a nice item. The ceramics and plush smurfs are great too, no wonder you were desperate to get rid of the kids!

Can't wait to hear more about all those goodies.

I'm very happy for you Gerda. We've all had some bad experiences on Ebay over the last 12 or so months but this hopefully makes up for them all.

However there are so many expensive and hard to find smurfs in there that I am wondering whether it was actually your Mom that picked up the kids or just the first person that came along that was willing to take them away while you sorted through them...lol.

What an amazing lot you have there. You should be able to sell off the doubles and get some money back whilst keeping the great items you don't have......I am sure it's gonna be one hell of a bargain in the end.

Off to call my parents to make sure it was them!!

I didn't take pictures yet of the mugs that where in the lot too, they are the collectors mugs with boxes so I'm happy about that. And it's small, but very happy to have them.. two little posters. They are actually the last two little ones I needed and now I have the whole set. (they came in cereal boxes when the smurfs where big!!) I wil have to take pictures of them later..
And not to mention the collectors display.. now my smurfs have room.
I also talked with the guy, it was his wife that collected the smurfs and the display was a store display that was not sold to customers, when the smurfs where done the store sold it to whomever ask for it!!
