I've been up all night cleaning and working my way through a batch of filfthy smurfs I bought a month or two back. I'm about to give it a rest, but just came across this marking on a baby bathing smurf.....

Help please!! Is this a promo of some sort?

Thanks,

Mark

On Isabel's page here

http://www.astrostreasurechest.net/webs ... promos.htm

You can read the following: -

Quick, a restaurant chain in Belgium, included one of six SuperSmurf sets with their "Magic Box" in 1995. They were sold out in a hurry. All figurines have the Quick letter Q embossed in their heads. The figurines are:

Smurf in Treetrunkcar, No. 4.0232
Smurf in Bed, No. 4.0240
Papa in Rocking Chair, No. 4.0228
Smurfette in pink car, No 4.0241
Sassette in Bathtub, variation of No. 4.0235
Smurfette with Vanity Table, No. 4.0234
All of the above were sealed in plastic bags and included a small Quick Restaurant flyer.

What I find interesting is that most people refer to this as a baby bathing (myself included), and Isabel calls her Sassette, which when you look at the hair you have to agree she is right.

Thank you both - I didn't spot it in the DSK.

I have to agree with that thought Karen, none of the other babies have hair do they?

I am confused. :-?
When I look at the checklist from Mushroomvillage, I only find this smurf among the normal smurfs not the super smurfs.
Does this promo smurf come with the bathtub or all the other bathing girls also :morehelp: ?
I have never seen the washtub, does anybody have a picture?

She isn't a standard super smurf, she was only released with the bath tub for this particular promo.

Hi Mark, yes this is a promotional smurf and should come with the bathtub but as already mentioned, the smurf figure itself - Smurfchild Bathing is how I refer to it - was normally only released as a regular smurf. :D

Why is it called "common sense" when it is so rare.......

What I find interesting is that most people refer to this as a baby bathing (myself included), and Isabel calls her Sassette, which when you look at the hair you have to agree she is right.
Although Sassette normally has red hair whereas this smurf has blonde hair like Smurfette.....then again in the figures Sassette has red, brown & orange hair so maybe if this is meant to be Sassette then maybe she's just the daughter of the Hairdresser smurf....it might explain the hair colouring changes.

Thanks Rachel, it's nice to see the whole package ( ).

If anyone has a spare shower (or two, as I have a super missing the watering can!) and is willing to let it go then please could you let me know?
