Hi, smurfers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Last week I have been cleaning my collection, and I have noticed a detail, I wanted to ask you since a long time...I have an Indian smurf (nr 20144) with white trousers...Is it a nice paint error? Or is it a variant not appearing in DSK?

Thanks...

PS: my smurfs don´t live this summer with me :( :( :( :( :( ...I will visit them next week, so I´ll try to take a photo to send it...........

Hi Pitufo

Youa re so lucky to have this one...it's very rare and one of the nicer Indians in my opinion even though it is a fake. I am still desperately searching for one of these and will get one someday unless.....well unless I don't get one....but I think this is Comics No Toxico smurf and therefore one of the nicer fakes as far as quality.

Hi, Attom!!!!!!!!Your websites are fantastic...   You say in one of them about spanish smurfs..."
Spanish smurfs were never licenced by
Schleich/Peyo
They have color variations and are considered fakes. They were never marketed."...But the white pants one is SWGERMANY...Is it really a fake? It´s difficult to me to understand...

Please explain me how you know this kind of smurf is a fake or not...Is it impossible to him to be a paint error?

THANKS to all the KINGS os smurfland

hi Pitufo!

all the smurfs I listed under the spanish smurf section have no markings
at all, I bought most of them from Spain, not all at once, of course, over a 2-3 yr period,

I was told long ago, something about Schleich planning to have smurfs made in Spain, and then cancelled the deal, and many of the smurfs that were made slowly hit the market, without being licenced..or marked.

do you know anything else? or more? or something different?

the Indian smurfs with white pants also have no markings, nothing

so I listed them as fakes.

the Other Indians on the page and jungles are not fakes, I am doing the second website more of mixed smurfs by katalog number,,, maybe split
them up later once I get all the pages done and make a separare fake section.not sure yet????

so glad you like the sites, I'm slowly trying to add more, as I have tons of stuff..but its a slow process.!

Hi Joaquín,

does your Indian Chief have white trousers, brown shoes and white and red stripes on his face?

There is one like this listed in the KMS Prieskatalog 2002/2003. :D

It would be great to hear that this is a real variation.

Hi Attom

That could be a real possibility about the CNTs being potential Schleich Smurfs but were rejected before being approved. I think this is the same story with the MiniModels Smurfs from Argentina which we know come either with no markings at all or with the markings "MINIMODELS INDUSTRIA ARGENTINA, Schleich S".

Maybe the CNTs are the same as the quality is quite good compared to most fakes and I think we both have the Mechanic with yellow overalls with Schleich Emblem and Peyo © markings which I have always thought was odd since they are meant to be fakes.

I wish we could trace all of this back somehow and I guess someone out there would know at least pieces of the puzzle....but unfortunately as time marches on so does the possibility that those people will no longer be around to pass this info on.

Oh, yes...Rachel...This is my smurf...It has no markings...It´s a non toxico...isn´t it?Never mind: it´s a lovely smurf...

Hi Joaquín,

so your smurf does not have markings? I would say then that yes it is a non toxico fake but still a VERY nice smurf to own. :-D

This still doesn't really explain the Indian Chief in the KMS katalog as that one seems to be different colours to Attom's smurfs. :-?

I totally agree, it would be so nice to have some real concrete evidence releating to much of the history involving smurfs but alas, as you say, time is passing by.
