I went on a little road trip to central PA this weekend with the fam - part of the trip was just for smurf hunting and I caught some of the little blue critters

We found them in Danville, Lewisburg, Altoona and Bedford. I only bought the ones I either A) didn't have or B) had but needed variations or C) were just too damn cheap to pass up :D

Sorry for the blurry pics - my camera was acting up today.

Hi Staci,

Nice finds. As you know I made a similar route recently and stopped at several of those antique malls but without any lyck. I saw some Smurf lunchboxes and glasses but none of the figurines itself.
It does make me :x when I see that there are now Smurfs being sold by someone in Racine, WI while I stayed several days at the Milwaukee airport motel 8, that was just too close :banghead: :banghead:

When walking in these antique malls and asking for Smurf figurines the only think I found was some people going :-o

Dennis.

The boots are Madeline's size too so I better watch out when it rains as those will be going outside :) :)

Nice finds Staci...wish we could go on a roadtrip to find smurfs..but only 2 places i know sell them :(
Long, long ago, deep in the forest, there was a hidden village where tiny creatures lived. They called themselves the Smurfs. They were good.

Nice boots Stace....it's a shame you can't wear them to Brussels as they would look very cute on you.

Sounds like you had a nice time away (except you abandoned me on the pc :( )...but I suppose if you were looking for smurfs then it was probably justified.

Hi Staci I have an old smurf paper playset (not a popup) from the early 80s I could send you if you want it (I'll just give it to you). I think it has missing pieces. I could send you a picture before I burn the postage in case it's something you have no use for. It's sitting at my parents' house and I almost told my mom to "make it disappear".

:haha: I don't know which paper set you're referring to so if you can post a pic, I'll let you know. Thanks :D

Hi Stace, wow you had a great trip by the looks of it. What a lovely haul of smurf goodies. :-D

Question though, if they fitted, would you wear the boots outside? :)

Why is it called "common sense" when it is so rare.......

It's convenient, then, that the boots don't fit. A male, at least, doing that would surely get the "smurf tremble" from anyone he encountered.*
