I had a fun day at work today.. .. We are doing the secret pal thing(you know you get to buy little gifts for a coworker without them knowing who it is from) and I found a little workaholic smurf on my desk today. I bursted out laughing when I saw it and received only blank looks.. ...

hours later somebody brought me another gift from my secret pal this time a computer smurf in box...
So, now, of course, little not so little Miss smurfysmurf went into long explanation about what is a super smurf and what is not and how not to make fun of them (somebody actually said the pose of the computer smurf was not very decent and thought the workaholic was s....let's not get there )
of course all of my explanations drew even more blank stares... I think they all now know that I have officially lost my mind

I haven't posted pictures of the smurfs, because they are at work and BETTER BE THERE WHEN I GO BACK TOMORROW (sometimes stuff vanishes )

I really did appreciate the smurfs though from my secret Pal, because as I mentioned before, smurfs are not easy to find in Tennessee

Nice to hear there is at least some decent people at your work Maureen.....although they seem a bit overly critical of some of the little blue guys......they might be the ones who have a few issues in my opinion.

So far every other employer has laughed at me down here....then again, as they say....'only in America' so you never know.

that is the funny thing....another coworker had asked me a week ago where to find smurfs for her niece and I told her about e-bay and some of the ebay stores and told her I would bring her smurfs to show her and went into this long explanation (I was so thrilled about a new collector).Little Miss Scatterbrain here forgot to bring the smurfs though, which turned out to be a good thing..Yesterday she admitted, she had made the story up because my secret pal had asked her to ask me where to get smurfs

that's a big No..... only few have world wide Internet access (I am one of them though) but actually going there...well.....let's just say, I would suddenly have even less money to buy smurfs
