Now I have my head full of new ideas for the next projects. Hope I'll find the time (and nerve) to get started on the next one soon. It was good fun making it - Smurfs so are perfect for this kind of displays.

Its made out of fine-grained styrofoamHow did you make the terrain? With plaster and glue-on grass?
Yes, its the stuff they use for the railway displays. I used a paintbrush to spread a fair bit of glue, added loads of grass and tapped it tight. After the glue had dried I removed all the loose grass.Where did you get your grass? Is it the hobbystore stuff that you sprinkle onto the paint/glue?
The water is semi-transparent glass finish and actually not very good for the purpose. Clear resin would have been much better. The bottom of the creek is a layer of coarse sand I bought from an aquarium storeIs your creek a blue undersurface painted over in resin or transparent glue?
