Well there is a lot of good news this month! Babies, people coming back, and lots of new parcels!!!

I'm gonna have to confess to father Attom in my next breath as I have already received my Xmas present... and I did open just to make sure it was in perfect condition: The Pixi Smurf Fanfare... and it is very very nice!!!!! With the Pee-Wee I bought from Michelle at the fair: This is IT: My whole Smurf Pixi collection is finally complete!!!! :dancing:  :dancing:

I aim to get it all out of Storage during the Xmas period and set it up to take some piccies so that you can see the complete village...

On the sockel front (as it is time for the December count): My lot now stand at 229! With one on the way from the states as we speak... I don't think I'll make it to 250 by the end of December but I'll try!!!!

On the interesting finds front I got the two Spannish Sign holders (which I believe were used to put on cakes at the time). I really like these two for some reasons: Quite fitting as it's like Syd saying happy birthday to Kate! :):):)

Also I found another yellow umbrella, to compare with the one I had and the miller with the red bag (can someone help me with the name of the bank?)

A nice start for December!!!! :snowman: :snowman: Just need the snow now!!!!

See pics below.

Cheers,

David

Here are the 2 yellow umbries...

One is a little faded underneath and the other one is red. In my view, for both in my possession, they were always yellow with a light red underneath. They certainly don't look like the top of the umbrella has faded from Red.

There is 2 different numbers on the umbrella a 2 and 4.

Both are "Made in Hong Kong".

Last but not least, the red miller...

He is badly rubbed, but the sac is in really good condition.

At the price I got it, I'm still happy: I never thought I'd be able to offer that one!

Could someone tell me the exact name of the Bank please? (it is a bank isn't it?)

Hi David ! I think , if my memory are good the name of the bank is Volksbank- Raifenbank Sparkasse , usually called Voba-Raiba by the collectors .
By the way , is a great find for a very good price , congrats !!

Hi David :wave2:

WOW, so many lovely things to congratulate you on.

Firstly it is wonderful to hear you have completed the Pixi Village, this is something to be really proud of because it is such a wonderful display when complete. I can't wait to see pics. :-D

The sign bearers look very cool and great to know about as I don't have any of these. :D

Thanks for the pic of the two umbrellas, that is really interesting to see. :sherlock:

Lastly, another big congrats for the Volksbank miller promo. He is a lovely smurf to own no matter what condition and of course the bag itself looks to be in a good shape which is the important thing. :cheerz:

Go Dragon............ :hi5:

Great smurfies David congrats..I LOVE the Voba Raiba promo miller one DROOOOOOL!!!

229 socles!!!!???!?!!! wow..I've got 2 that aren't non promo ones (does that make me the worst socle collector on the board? :) )

I'd love to see ALL your collection, it must be very impressive :D
Long, long ago, deep in the forest, there was a hidden village where tiny creatures lived. They called themselves the Smurfs. They were good.

@Mr Beer: Thank you for the Carrots my friend!!!! :):):)

@Samismurf & @Dan, thank you for your help for the bank's name.
I have used the info you gave me in Google and I found that bank's page and the logo below. It looks like it's the one! I like having the logo of the company at the origin of the promotional Smurfs I find! :):)

Thank you for that!

@Eggie: Another Scaley member on the forum? Surely not? Fresh Food?

@Rachel, I thought you might like the umbries. My second one looks exactly like the one you showed me.

@Steve: You remember who's talking here: I have sworn that I would never collect Sockels... I'm afraid it's slowing down now though... It's really hard to find some new ones and if I find some, looks like everyone wants them! :):)

Do you know why the nickname of the bank is Voba Raiba ?
Does it mean anything in German?

and a last fresh update: further to the fair I have counted my minis Smurfs: The total is 90!!!!!! (That's without counting the 16 from the OMO promos).

Congrats with all your new smurfs! It's unbelievable how many new smurfs you have here.

About the bank...you know already but Voba Raiba is just the short name. It's not a real nickname. It's only a few letters of the whole name because it's very long.

Michelle

Congratulations for completing your Pixi village!!!!!!!!!!

And about the spanish sign holders: to say someone "happy birthday!!", we use "Feliz cumpleaños" and it´s not common "Feliz aniversario" ( I always thought this translation was too odd for putting in cakes for birthdays...And the second one, simply ...."Merry Christmas"

Hi David,
do you "only" collect the real sockels or also the home made ones? :-?

I am wondering how many sockels (real ones) are out there.... :? :D

:) :)
