Hey Dyar: I think it will look weird if we start going round Brussels with Chuba Chupps in our gob! :) :)
Could be worse.....we could all be wearing pink tutus...not mentioning any names of course.

Dyar :) :)
 :sofa:

One question:
I got the carnival smurf with green-red lantern today. Now I'm thinking it's a fake. According to the DSK the markings should be 'Schleich S W.Germany'. Unfortunately (?) mine has 'Bully, W.Germany'. Can anyone confirm me wrong?

Maybe they've changed the smurf, who knows?

These are easily faked but it would be easy to remove the lantern and put it on another smurf too. Can you send us a pic of the smurf Yonna and we can all have a look and give opinions.

I hope it's authentic for you :D

I'll post imeges tonight. I also wonder if the green and red color should come easily off by scratching the lantern surface... :-?

That doesn't sound real good Yonna. I don't have this variation so I am not overly familiar with it but I have seen some obvious fakes on ebay too.

I don't think that the paint should be able to easily be removed though unless someone used cheaper paint.

I'd like this smurf too Yonna, but I've seen it a million times on ebay, which are clearly faked..it's SO easy to fake too..I hope yours is original though..when something is this easy to make it does kinda make you question ANY being authentic :-?
Long, long ago, deep in the forest, there was a hidden village where tiny creatures lived. They called themselves the Smurfs. They were good.

Hi Yonna, Thanks for posting the pics. :-D

Like so many others, I don't have this variation so I can't really give you any advice regarding the paint / colours. I have to agree with Dyar though, the fact the paint is coming off easily isn't a good sign and these are faked easily.

I wouldn't only go on the markings from the DSK though because these aren't always 100% accurate, some are not mentioned and as Michelle points out, it could be that the lantern itself has been added to the wrong figure but I have to admit, the on the whole, it doesn't look to good.

Sorry.

Why is it called "common sense" when it is so rare.......
