I would have to go for the donut option as well...I can only drink decaf coffee so the "kick" thing doesn't happen!!! But donuts...now donuts would make me get up early!!!

When I got married...I made our wedding cake...it was a massive pyramid of 100 yellow and white iced donuts...piled high and decorated with mock cream and fake frangipani flowers ...I might add...for those of you who think that I'm wierd...I was married at 5am on the beach in Summer!!!

Well...unfortunately the pic of the cake were taken after the fake frangipanis were removed and the heat of the day had started to melt the icing and cream!!! ...Needless to say we ate it as soon as this pic had been taken...and it was amazing!!! Here is a pic of the cake!!! ...I also have attached a pic of the sunrise that morning so you can see what possessed me to have a sunrise beach wedding!!!

Renee, beautiful sunrise pic...I have one similar but it's from the BVIs and surprisingly it was about 5:30am (I wasn't in love though, just on a sailboat in the middle of the carribbean )

You have no idea how ironic that statement is!!!

The donut cake was a huge hit (even though it had started to melt)...the perfect end to a great BBQ breaky on the beach!!! There were about 80 people there and they all had a blast which was the whole point of it!!!

It's a lovely beach about 5 hours north of Brissy. We recently went back for our first anniversary and took a pic of the sunrise at 5:30am. I have attached it for you to see cause I think that one is so much prettier than the sunrise on the day of the wedding.

I was once on a beach at 5am in my deep dark past....but I wouldn't call that experience very romantic.....wasn't too sure how I got there from (lack of) memory.

I love that cake Renee. I think people might of enjoyed a doughnut as opposed to a piece of wedding cake anyway. I can just see images of the wedding now....."Do you take this doughnut to love and digest"....."I dunk"

I really miss the sea now that I live so far away from it I need around 6 hours to get to the coast compared with 10 minutes where I grew up
