Don't forget the Halloween set, to find those right now will cost you more than what they started out as and will only rise as they where only out a few years.

@gerda, yes the helloween set is interesting, but because of the china Fakes i am a bit worried about the Helloween Set. I don´t not know why, but the ghost will be the best running of all of them. Informations i heard is that they were more often not available by schleich. I have some over now, but i have nearly to pay 4€/ghost

Yes the fakes make it hard for any smurf to become a high value piece as it is always in the back of our minds whether or not it is a fake.
that is not a bad price for a ghost. I have seen the prices go higher than that!!

Dusty,

I still can buy Ghost in our Schleichstore. They have some left from last years issues. :)

@ André, you should buy them if you can get them for a normal price.
"Gaschers" already wants 7€ and "duckburg" you can only buy a ghost within a complete set.

Thanks for the info Dusty,

I will check and see which ones of the halloweensmurfs they still have. And because it is a toystore with only genuine Schleich items I am 100% sure they are no fakes.

By the way the ghost is among my favourite normalsmurfs. :)

From what I have seen these smurfs were produced for only a few years, so it makes sense that they are harder to get :D

I'd say the Indian smurfs will become hard to get very very soon, so if anybody is interested in investing in smurfs I'd stock up on those as well.

Andre...the ghost smurf is my favorite among the Halloween set as well 8)

@Maureen, let us seen which indians will be dropped out of the product range of 2010. These ones we should fill up stocks but still have in mind
the indian fakes.

Who knows the markings of the faked indians an the faked Party smurfs ?

Does anydody has the small schleich katalog of the year 2000 and can
post a scan of the regualr smurf pages ?

I have the small ones from 2001 .. 2009 and want to make a list which shows which smurfs were produced in how many years.

From what we have been told the full range of Indian smurfs are going to be dropped, Ralph, in addition to some more smurfs (20 in all) :D

The markings of the Indian and Anniversary fakes are

06 Peyo, Schleich, Germany, Made in china (year is different for the annivesary ones)

which are slightly different to the genuine ones (Made in Germany, China), so I don't think they will bring the prize of the genuines down too much as collectors will want to get the real ones :D

I dare say, that 3€ seems to be a good price imho. I remember that the prices for smurfs used to be doubled when the € came into being.

@Maureen, if it is right that all indians will disapear next year, we should buy some 5 piece bags.
I cound not belive that 20 smurfs will disapear . Do you have more informations or can you send a link to the discussion threat.

And Thanks for the information of the fake markings.

I can not belive that 20 pieces will be dropped out. They always have 100
different pieces in stock. If only 12 new smurfs will be released also only 12 should disapear.
12 new Zodiac smurfs should be the end of the indians. That menas ordering 8x5 Indian smurfs for "Pension Stock" :-D
