:) :)

Lia really is a good sport, can you just wear the dress anyway ?, even if you lose :o :) :)

:-D

Give me some time to think about that, please.... :)
( it`s not yet bought... imagine when I come home with this!!!)

When we lose, a deep depression might go over Holland ( however not so many Dutch expect to come far).
and such a dress might arouse some aggressive comments.
People still suffer from the lost finals in 1974 and 1978.
But I remember also so well when we won in 1988!
It was one of the most fantastic (sport) moments I ever saw in Holland.
People were celebrating for days.

well, anyway, you seem to like the dress

Maybe we could persuade Tijn to wear it as well 8-) 8-)

I'm supporting Antartica this year because they have the coolest players and because I bet they won't lose even one single game in Euro 2008.

Dyar

Yeah, imagine that....not to lose one game and still not be the champion...life isn't fair, is it :o

I know, England isn't in it...but I am very very loyal and maintain...they SHOULD be the European Champion :(

or me :)
I really wonder if they ever will sell such outfits..but on the other hand...
if you see the Dutch supporters during an international match, everything is possible, there are no limits, I fear :x

I know Martin will remember this too probably, but when Euro 96 was held in England, Liverpool hosted one of the games and i can remember Liverpool city centre being full of Holland fans in their orange boiler suits, they were everywhere, it was one of the best footballing sights i've ever seen :D

I was trying to say that I support Germany even if they didn't win a match since 1996. :magic2:

Hello Gert, i think after many years, Germany are finally getting it together and have every chance of winning this time around :D

Germany have every chance of winning this time around
Of course I would be happy with that! :D
The last Euros were not good for Germany, but the last two World championships were great, so...Who knows? I think, Germany has at least the chance to reach the quarter or semi finale, though there are not playing many "world stars" (in fact maybe only one: Ballack?) like in the Netherlands, France or Italy...

Postby Dutchiesmurf » Thu Jun 05, 2008 2:56 pm
Very true Simon.

And mind you.... Holland has had world stars in their team since the 70-ies and only won in 88.... so that says enough

(although we did deserve to win in 74 and 78 :P )

After watching the first few games, I think there are some teams that are lucky to be there (as England didn't qualify), and the real good games will be the elimination ones in two weeks.

I think you will be right Paolo :D and it is a shame about Cannavaro too :???:

that must be it :-?

After suffering thru the last 15 minutes of Germany vs Poland, I suddenly remembered why I stopped watching soccer (sorry, I mean football :) )
