About the flautist (2.0048), I searched many times, but I can't find any cavity number on the Schleich W.GERMANY mold. Do you ??

No, I checked mine and none ( also none of the Brazilian Hering) has a cavitynumber

I could not locate one on WG version though I know the HK & China version have one. I think it's on the flute.

I checked and I think there are cavitynumbers on all variations. But I have to check a few more first.

I found all 4 cavities on my germanmade flautist.

Regarding the cavity 4, I only found it on the damaged one in a french lot. So the different flute is not a variation. Just a french child experimenting.

You can see the cavitynumber easiest on number 3 I think. The numbers are between the head and the flute. On the arms.

The cavitynumber is on the hand on the Hongkongsmurf.

No Cavitynumber as Lia said on the Heringmold though.

But I have 2 w.germany ones and I now discover that theshirts are painted differently

the one with yellow dot probably has a cavitynumber, but I can`t read it

I can`t find a cavitynumber on the w.germany without yellow dot, perhaps because the shirt is all red there?? There seems to be a sort of "1"??

It looks like a number 2 on the picture??? regarding the shirt I think they skipped painting it red all the way around the head, because it was to hard to reach that space and timeconsuming??

I know we are not the average collectors Lia , but for most collectors who have reached beyond just getting one smurf of each, I would say there are 3 mayor different german ones.

1. without dot and painted in Germany.
2. Yellow dot. painted in portugal. A big difference in paint used.
3. Red dot. Painted in Sri Lanka. They also used the Hongkongmold in Sri Lanka.

These 3 are the ones with biggest differences and it is also nice that they were painted in different countries.

And then there are collectors like us Lia, who keeps smurfs even with just smaller differences. Probably because we love smurfs so much??

I looked so many times, finding nothing...
Well, I now can easily read about a 2 or a 3 cavity number ; guess (but really guess) the n°1. But there are some smurf on which I can't find any number with the artificial light. I will try later if ever sun rises in Paris again.

But it is very helpful.

For me, as it is a mold with very few variations and as I love smurfs too much too, I made a difference between the ones with red collar and the ones with blue collar...
