Can anyone shed any information on Snail and what markings are to be found.
Was it just given it’s own article number by Schleich as it was used on Playsets and Sockels. Any information would be good

I think I can help. According to page 176 of "Der Schlumpf Katalog IV", here is what it says:
Nr. Variante Markierung Euro
1 Schnecke blau (Left blank) 70,000
2 (Left blank) Schleich S W.Germany 10,000
3 (Left blank) CE 5,000
The green circles go from 78 to 03. I assume these are the years in which it was made.
The book is really thick and stiff and it was hard to me to keep it open flat with one hand and take a picture with the other hand, so I'm sorry for the blurry photo. I tried.

Thanks Curious Smurf for your help.
It’s amazing how we still refer to this guide even though it was printed 15 years ago.
